Running of the Bulls

The annual running of the bulls event in Pamplona, Spain is a highlight for the adrenalin junkie. Participants arm themselves with a pair of running shoes, a rolled up newspaper, white cotton trousers, shirt and of course a red bandana and sash to attract the bulls attention!

Then the bulls are let loose and chase them for nearly a kilometer through the narrow streets of Pamplona to finish in a bullring, where the bulls are eventually finished off themselves. From July 7-14 each year, every day at 8 am the race begins. This is a dangerous event, with each year people being seriously injured and even being killed. Go along and join them if you dare.
